-WHMI 93.5 fm - Now that the turkey has been carved
and the shoppers have hit the stores, there’s
just one thing left to do: let it snow. And that’s
exactly what’s happening at Mt. Brighton in
Genoa Township. With the colder temperatures the
past few days, the ski resort has been busy making
snow and could open as early as Sunday. Tim Ortbring,
the resort’s
executive chef, tells WHMI it’s great to be
able to kick off the season this early, and that
local skiers and snowboarders are more than eager
to hit the slopes. Ortbring says the snow making
has been underway since Tuesday night, and resort
officials will update the public via their website
at 8am Sunday as to whether or not they’ll
be able to open that day. You can also sign up on
