What is the Board of Review?

The Board of Review is a board of three (3) property owners in the township whose purpose is:

  • To review the values that are set by the Assessor; and

  • To correct any errors in the assessing process.

March 2020 Board of Review is being held at 10405 Merrill Road, Hamburg Township Hall.

Dates and Times:

By Appointment Only - Call 810-222-1160.   Appointments must be made no later than 5:00 p.m., March 6, 2020.   Poverty Appeals by Appointment Only.   Property Owners may appeal by letter if RECEIVED by 5:00 p.m., March 6, 2020.

March 3, 2020 10:00 a.m. - Organizational Meeting (No Appeals Heard)
 March 9, 2020  9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

 March 10, 2020  2:00 p.m.  - 5;00 p.m.  and 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.






The purpose of this meeting is to correct clerical errors, mutual mistakes of fact as to assessments, homestead and agricultural exemptions, and to hear appeals for Poverty Exemptions and Veterans Exemptions pursuant to MCL211.53b.  - Susan Murray, Assessor.
