There are activities for every season of the year and for all ages to come and enjoy Hamburg's wonderful local facilities.

Also, a number of special events are held each year for you, your family and friends to enjoy here close to home.


Manly W. Bennett Memorial Park
On August 28, 2003, Hamburg Township was notified that the Michigan Society of Planning Officials selected the Manly W. Bennett Memorial Park for the 2003 Outstanding Planning Project Award. More


Sports Organizations and Recreational Programs

Youth sports programs that utilize the Hamburg Township park facilities are non-profit organizations, run by a membership-elected Board of Directors. The organizations are totally responsible for all expenses related to the sports programs. Hamburg Township does not sponsor any sports programs. More


Lakelands Trail State Parklogo -lakelands trail state park - with 2 green leaves and L

Lakelands Trail State Park is one of four linear state parks in the Michigan State Park System that have been converted from abandoned railroad corridors. Approximately 20 miles long with an asphalt/gravel surface, the Lakelands Trail has been completed from Stockbridge to Pinckney/Putnam Township through Hamburg Township. More

"THE GULCH" - Our course includes 18 am holes and 9 pro, and winds through the woods of Manly W. Bennett Memorial Park West. The course includes some hilly terrain, and benches have been placed along the way to provide resting areas while you play. More

Winkelhaus Park, in the Village of Hamburg, is located on the old Hamburg Hotel property, across Hamburg Road from the Hamburg Pub. The site has been developed into a Village Park with a gazebo, picnic tables and walking areas. More
