Traffic Safety - Hamburg Township Police Department

Addressing traffic-related complaints, issues and investigations constitute a large portion of the work load of our department. Primary responsibility for coordinating our department’s response to these traffic issues falls upon Sgt. Anthony Wallace who is assigned full time as our Traffic Safety Sergeant. This position was created in 2013 with the goals of reducing traffic crashes, reducing or eliminating habitual traffic complaints and increasing our department’s effectiveness in investigating traffic crashes/traffic complaints. An additional goal of this position is to increase traffic safety through strict enforcement of commercial motor vehicle laws. Sgt. Wallace is a federally certified commercial motor vehicle inspector.
