Travel/Trip Policy Changes
Just a reminder to re-read the Travel/ Trip Policy that is just past the Travel pages …………….we’ve made some changes you need to be aware of. They are not major-major but they reflect changes we’ve had to make due to some unforeseen circumstances that have arisen. The changes pertain to all of the trips so please read up on the changes!
Casino & Day Trips
Senior Center Trip Cancellation Policy
** Look for the few changes to this policy due to issues that have arisen which are highlighted in "BOLD"
Can register in advance but all fees must be paid in full 30 days prior to trip departure
Advance reservations will be cancelled unless prior arrangements for payment have been approved by the Director
Seat Reservations will be made upon final payment and are not transferable
No refunds, of any kind, will be given for cancellations up to 7 days prior to departure

Cancellation fees will apply for day trips cancelled within 14 days prior to trip departure as outlined in the
cancellation policy of the Tour Company hired to conduct the trip
Cancellations fees will apply to ticketed events cancelled within 30 days prior to trip departure as outlined in the cancellation policy of the Tour Company hired to conduct the trip or the price of the non-refundable ticket already purchased by Tour Company hired
No refunds, of any kind, will be given for cancellations up to 7 days prior to trip departure
Deposit is required at time of registration and can vary depending on the type & cost of trip
No reservations will be made without a deposit
Final payment is required 45 days prior to trip departure
Cancellation fees will apply for trips cancelled within 30 days prior to trip departure as outlined in the cancellation policy as designated on the trip flyer of the Tour Company hired to conduct the trip
Trip Cancellation Insurance (option):
Cancellation Insurance may be purchased for Day Trips only for an additional $15.00 per trip & is non-refundable
A full refund of the cost of the trip (not including the Cancellation Insurance amount) will be returned even if the cancellation takes place within the 30 days prior to trip departure, for any reason, for Day Trips only ** price of show/venue ticket not refundable after tickets are ordered!!
Senior Center Policies:
In the event of bad or inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances, we reserve the right to cancel for safety reasons. We will do our best to reschedule should this occur. Under most circumstances this will result in a full refund
In the case of last minute cancellations, we will do our best to sell your seat in order to return your fee, however, cancellation fees may apply. Any cancellation fees that are billed to Hamburg Township by the Tour Company will in turn be billed to the registrant
No refunds will be given to registrants who do not show up for the trip
Copy of the Tour Companies Cancellation policy will be provided to all registrants
There are a few trips that are FULL already! YAY!! But BOO if you forgot to sign up!! Always remember to put yourself on the waiting list! I go to it on a regular basis and have been able to get folks signed up as there are always cancellations in the few days before a trip flies!! Just sayin.........................
Also, the surest way for me to put you on a trip is to put a deposit down on the trip whether it be a day trip or an overnighter. This way I at least know you're serious about the trip. Thanks for your understanding!!
Stratford Festival, "The Music Man, Friday, October 12, 2018
$149; dine at the Queen's Inn buffet-style which is a landmark inn that has been in business for over 150 years, have time for shopping in downtown Stratford and finally see "The Music Man" at the Festival Theatre. A passport, pass card or enhanced driver's license is REQUIRED for this trip into Canada. Monies for this trip are due by August 29 !!
Greektown Casino, Wednesday, October 17, 2018
$26; receive $15 in coin play and a $5 food voucher. Trip leaves at 9:00 am and returns at 4:00 pm. Monies for this trip are due by September 17 !!
The Historic Whitney, Thursday, November 1, 2018
$68; dine at the Big Fish Seafood Bistro with your choice of either Fish & Chips, Chicken Cape Codder or a Tavern Burger; take a guided stroll through The Whitney (we are not dining there as the cost was prohibitive) and then take a self-guided tour of Pewabic Pottery in Detroit which was founded in 1903 by Mary Chase Perry and Horace Caulkins. Trip leaves at 10:45 am and returns at 5:30 pm. Monies for this trip are due by October 1 !!

$37; receive $20 in slot play plus an additional $5 to be used for food, slot play or the gift shop. Trip leaves at 9:00 am and leaves 5:00 pm. Monies for this trip are due by October 12 !!

$65; dine at the Gandy Dancer in Ann Arbor, have time for shopping at Zingerman's Delicatessen and then head over to the Wayne County Lightfest for the Midwest's largest holiday light show! Trip leaves at 3:15 pm and returns at 9:00 pm. Monies for this trip are due by October 26 !!
Grand Event Theater, Sunday, January 20, 2019
$ 72; See the "BeeHive", a Musical celebrating the 1960's female empowerment featuring timeless classics as "My Boyfriend's Back", "Son of a Preacher Man" and "Me and Bobby McGee". Beehive nostalgically recalls the days of miniskirts, transistor radios and flower power and told from the perspective of women vocalists who came of age in this enigmatic decade. Dine at the Hungarian Rhapsody where you have your choice of entrees of Chicken Paprikas with Dumplings, Stuffed Cabbage or Breaded Pork Chops. Trip leabves at 11:00 am and returns at 6:30 pm. Monies for this trip are due by Monday, December 10, 2018 !!
