Special meeting set for clerk interviews

BY FRANK KONKEL • DAILY PRESS & ARGUS • November 18, 2009

Hamburg Township Supervisor Pat Hohl has called a special meeting — scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday — to interview candidates for the position of Hamburg Township Clerk.

After former Clerk Matt Skiba was recalled earlier this month, the board named former Chrysler executive Allen Carlson as the township’s Interim Clerk while it began the search for long-term candidates.

The board’s Clerk Search Committee, made of trustees Phil Semprevivo and Chuck Menzies, accepted resumes for the position through 5 p.m. Tuesday.

The board will publicly interview between three and five candidates Friday, and Hohl said the township could announce a hire by the end of the special meeting Friday. The candidate will have to run in the Feb. 23 election to retain the position.
