Rep. Cindy Denby To
Chair Agricultural Subcommittee
1/22/11 - A local legislator’s
focus on Michigan’s agriculture sector has landed her a position in Lansing
to deal with the issue. State Representative Cindy Denby was recently selected
to chair the Agricultural Processing Subcommittee. The Handy Township Republican,
who already serves as vice-chair of the full House Agriculture Committee, says
the subcommittee was created to remove unnecessary regulations that keep agricultural
processing from being done in Michigan. Denby says additional agricultural
processing will bring more employment opportunities to Michigan's skilled workers
and further Michigan's economy. (JM)
