Michigan Works Prepares Job-Seekers for Job Fair

News Photo 4/18/11 - More than 40 companies looking for new employees and at least 1,000 job-seekers are expected to attend the 7th annual Livingston Regional Job Fair this Wednesday. Michigan Works Director Bill Sleight says the job fair will include more than 40 companies seeking to recruit new employees, as well as computer terminals for job-seekers to submit online applications, a resume review team, at least three informative workshops, and free massages for to help relieve job-hunting stress. The job fair will run from 11:30 am to 4:30 pm on Wednesday at the Crystal Gardens Banquet Hall. Those who want to be better-prepared for the job fair can attend a workshop being held by Michigan Works from 1:00 to 2:00 Monday afternoon. The workshop is designed to help job-seekers navigate the job fair by showing them how to engage employers, leave a good impression, and follow through with an interview.
