  • 05/13/2016 PRESS RELEASE UPDATE - Hamburg Township Police Department, Hamburg, Michigan USA – Facebook Post 13 hrs At approximately 6:00pm this evening Amanda Hayward and her daughter, Sapphire Palmer, were located in Florida by officials with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and the FBI. Both appeared in good physical health. Sapphire has been taken into protective custody by Florida Child Protective Services pursuant to a court order. Douglas Stanko had left the area prior to arrival of law enforcement officials. The Amber Alert has been cancelled. The investigation into this matter is ongoing.
  • 05/12/2016 - AMBER ALERT ISSUED: PRESS RELEASE UPDATE: The search for Amanda Hayward and her 7-year old daughter is still underway. They are traveling in a red 2001 Ford Escape bearing Michigan license Plate "2HVA18" with a 64-year old acquaintence (Douglas Steven Stanko). Douglas Stanko is registered as a sex offender on the Michigan Sexual Offender Registry. With this latest information, the Michigan State Police has authorized an Amber Alert. More....

  • 05/11/2016 - PRESS RELEASE UPDATE At approximately 6:00pm this evening a Hamburg Township police officer assigned to the Livingston and Washtenaw Narcotics Enforcement Team (LAWNET) located the black 2001 Chevrolet Prizm that Amanda Hayward and her daughter were last seen leaving their residence in. The vehicle was located in Ypsilanti Township and was unoccupied. More....
  • 05/11/2016 - Press Release: "The Hamburg Township Police Department is asking for the public's help in attempting to locate a 30-year old female Hamburg Township resident and her 7-year old daughter. Amanda Elizabeth Hayward was last seen leaving her Hamburg Township residence in the area of Chilson Road & Bishop Lake Road at 3:00am on May 10, 2016. She left the location with her 7-year old daughter (Sapphire Elizabeth Palmer) in a black 2001 Chevrolet Prizm bearing Michigan License Plate of "CC86371."" - More....
