IDEAS NEEDED

If
you have any ideas for trips you would like to see offered at the
Senior Center, please call the center and Chris will see what she
can do to get it offered next year. Please bear in mind we have
to have 30 people on the bus in order for the trip to go.
Trip Policies:

- All trips must be paid for at the time you register!
- CANCELLATION POLICY: NO REFUNDS. All cancellations
are filled from our waiting list when appilcable.
- Trips that require hotels or tickets purchased have
special cancellation policies. Please ask if you have
any questions.
- Not all trips are listed in the newsletter and on the
website -- Please stop in at the Center so you don't
miss a trip.
- YOU MUST SIGN UP FOR ALL TRIPS IN PERSON -- NO PHONE
RESERVATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED.
NOTE: ALL PREVIOUSLY SCHEDULE TRIPS TO MGM CASINO HAVE BEEN
CANCELLED. WE WILL BE SUBSTITUTING WITH TRIPS TO GREEK
TOWN CASINO.
YOU MUST BRING A PICTURE ID, PLUS A BIRTH CERTIFICATE OR
PASSPORT - THESE ARE REQUIRED. ID WILL BE CHECKED PRIOR
TO BOARDING THE BUS AT THE CENTER.
TRIP SCHEDULE
- Seneca
Niagara Falls, May 10 & May
11, 2011.
$135, 1 night stay per person/double occupancy at the Sheraton-on-the-Falls
in Canada. Head into
Niagara, New York to the Seneca Casino for an evening of
gambling and receive $20 in slot play and a
$5 food voucher. Plenty of free time the next day to sightsee
around the falls. A passport, passcard or
enhanced drivers license is required for this trip.
- Motor City Casino, Wednesday, May 25th, 2011: $18, with $25 in reward play on your player’s card good on any slot machine. Trip leaves at 9:00am
and returns at 4:30pm.
- ERNIE, The Play - Saturday,
June 11, 2011 :
$64, which includes lunch at Andiamo's, transportation to
the City Theatre in Detroit and the play. The play by
Mitch Albom starts at 4 p.m. Trip departs at 11:30 a.m.
and returns at 8:15 p.m.
- Tiger Baseball: Dates
are June 16th vs Cleveland & September 11th vs Minnesota.
On June 16th, the trip leaves at 10:15 a.m. and returns
at 6:00 p.m. Cost is $64 and you receive a coupon for a
hot dog and soft drink.
- Ethnic Dine Around This tour will tickle your tongue!! Stop at Juliano’s
Italiana for appetizers which includes soup,
salad and beverage then on to the St. Sabbas
Orthodox Monastery for a tour and lunch. The
monastery was founded in 1999 as a center for liturgical
arts in conjunction with traditional monastic standards.
Lunch is prepared by chef Petr Balcarovsky who studied
in Europe and is a St. Sabbas parishioner. Head into Mexican Town
for fried ice cream and coffee before heading home. Cost
for this culinary delightful trip is $76; trip leaves
at 9:15am and returns at 5:45pm.
- Windsor Raceway & Slots
Casino, Tuesday, June 28, 2011 $15, with $15 in slot play. Trip leaves at
8:30am and returns at 5:00 pm. Package is different
than the flyer as the casino has changed their package
deal. A passport, passcard or enhanced
drivers license is required for this trip.
- Thunder Bay Resort
Elk Viewing + Soaring Eagle Casino, Tuesday, July
19, 2011 - $259
per person w/double occupancy. Trip includes round-trip
transportation, 1 night stay at the Thunder Bay Resort
in Hillman, MI with 1 full breakfast and 1 dinner & wine-tasting.
This trip features a narrated carriage tour of the Elk
Preserve, a 5-course gourmet dinner & wine tasting
and time at the Soaring Eagle Casino where you will receive
$20 in slot play and a $5 food voucher.
