Dog License Durations
You now have the option to purchase a one-year license, or a three year license which will expire in the MONTH of the current rabies expiration date. However, the rabies vaccination must be valid for the entire three year period in order to purchase the three year license.
Rabies vaccines can be renewed anytime in the MONTH in which it expires. You are then eligible to purchase a Dog License before the end of the MONTH. If you do NOT purchase a Dog License by the end of that MONTH, a late fee of $20 will be added to the price of a Dog License. Please provide proof of rabies vaccination and proof of spay/neuter as required by State Statute.
Please consult a licensed veternarian or animal control office for microchip information. Also, the State Department of Agriculture has a tattoo identification registry available.
Dog License Fees as of December 1, 2013:
1 year - $25
3 year - $60
Veterinary proof of both current rabies vaccinations and sterilization must be presented EACH YEAR to obtain a license.
