PAYING YOUR SEWER O&M BILL
NOTE: All homes and business establishments with sewer service are required by Hamburg Township Ordinance to use potassium chloride in water softeners. Sodium chloride is prohibited.
Tuesday, December 9, 2008: Sewer Rates Increased: A letter from Supervisor Hohl was sent out to Hamburg sewer customers detailing new increased sewer rates. On November 11, 2008, the Township Board of Trustees voted to increase quarterly sewer rates from $91.50 to $149.50 per Residential Equivalent Unit (REU). Citizens having questions or concerns about the rate increase are directed to contact Supervisor Hohl.

Hamburg Township Sanitary Sewer System sewer O&M (Operation and Maintenance) bills are issued quarterly. The billing statement postcards are printed by the Billing Department of the Clerk's Office, and the Treasurer's Office receives the payments.
Payments may be made in several ways:
- In cash by bringing your payment stub and payment monies to the Hamburg Township Treasurer during regular business hours, Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- By check or money order made payable to the "Hamburg Township Treasurer" and mailed with your payment stub to the Hamburg Township Treasurer, P.O. Box 157, Hamburg, MI. 48139-0157
- By check or money order made payable to the "Hamburg Township Treasurer" and placed in an envelope with your payment stub in the Drop Box at Hamburg Township Hall Offices, 10405 Merrill Road at any time.
