LIVINGSTON COUNTY ROADS

Livingston County Road Commission is responsible for winter snow and ice removal on all Livingston County roads.

FOR PRIVATE ROADS WITH SPECIAL ASSESSMENT DISTRICTS

Hamburg Township, through the creation of Special Assessment Districts (S.A.D.s), provides a wide range of services not offered by many other townships. The Township provides maintenance services for a number of private roads as well as provides assistance for public road improvement projects. The following are an example of the services offered through the Township for private roads only with Special Assessment Districts (SADs).  The services are provided through third party contractors at the Township's request under the SAD arrangements for each road.

  • Snow plowing
  • Sanding and/or Salting of icy roadways
  • Gravel road grading
  • Gravel installation
  • Pothole patching
  • Asphalt patching
  • Dust control
  • Coordinate with Livingston County Road Commission on public road paving projects
