Road Improvement SADs
- Updated Construction Schedule
Construction on the 2019/2020 Road Improvement Projects is currently winding down for the season. Please be advised that the construction schedule is subject to change due to weather or other circumstances out of the control of the Township. The Livingston County Road Commission has provided an updated schedule for the road improvement projects as follows:
Monday, October 5th, 2020
Arrowhead Subdivision - installation of pavement on road surface(s). Paving work should be completed within the next week
or as weather allows.
Remaining construction to be completed for the 2021 road improvement paving projects include:
- Louis Lane
- Tamarack Lake Subdivision area

RESTORATION WORK for completed road improvement districts:
To aid local subdivisions, the Hamburg Township Board has approved paying for all administrative costs and bonding costs necessary to establish resident-initiated Special Assessment Districts (SADs) to resurface their deteriorated subdivision roads. The Livingston County Road Commission will pay for all design, drainage and construction oversight associated with resident-initiated SADs to repair roads in their subdivisions. These offers to assist with funding will not be repeated in the near future, and all SADs had to be established by late spring 2020. Any residents living in subdivisions with County roads that are interested in understanding the processes necessary to establish a Special Assessment District to repair their roads please contact the Township Supervisor, Patrick J. Hohl, at pathohl@hamburg.mi.us, or at 810-222-1116 to discuss.
