Hamburg Township Historical Museum is located at 7225 Stone Street.

The Hamburg Township Historical Society is dedicated to preserving township history and presenting it – at its Museum in the old village of Hamburg and in the township at large -- through engaging exhibits, educational programs, and events for residents and visitors alike.

It’s Almost Time for Tea Boxes

If you enjoyed this year’s Valentine’s and Mother’s Day takeout tea boxes, you’ll love the ones we have coming up this fall: October 23 for Halloween-themed boxes and December 4 for Christmas-themed boxes. Each box will be filled with delicious home-baked goods and candies, and priced at $10 each. Purchase two and share with a friend! To place an order for either date, email hamburgmuseummichigan@outlook.com.

Holiday Rummage Sale Coming in November

When we inventoried all that remained from our two July rummage sales, we discovered we still had a lot of Christmas-themed items. So, we’ve decided to host a holiday rummage sale (inside the museum) and we’re coordinating the date and time with the Hamburg Senior Center’s Holiday Bazaar. Think of it as “two-stop shopping” for all your holiday decorating and gift-giving needs! Join us both on Saturday, November 20 from 9 am – 2 pm.

What’s New on Facebook

Are you following us on Facebook? Over the past few weeks, we’ve highlighted Mary Marguerite Dunning — a decorated WWII nurse — for Women’s History Month; celebrated Hamburg Township’s 186th birthday; asked for gift shop suggestions; played “I Spy” with the Museum’s artifacts; and posted a photo of friends enjoying our “Drink Me, I’m Irish” cocktail class. To join in the fun, visit www.facebook.com/hamburgmuseummichigan.
