Dear Hamburg Township Resident,

Some of you are receiving a letter via USPS mail because you are in the Huron River Chain of Lakes Water Improvement Special Assessment District (HRCLSAD), for control of invasive weeds and alga, administered by the Washtenaw County Department of Public Works.

Hamburg Township residents in the HRCLSAD are fortunate that the Washtenaw County DPW agreed to administer this two-county, four-township Special Assessment District.  However, this is the last year that residents in Hamburg Township who live on Zukey, Strawberry and Gallagher Lakes will receive invasive weed and alga control on your lakes.

The Hamburg Township Board of Trustees has authorized the establishment of a replacement Special Assessment District for the control of invasive weeds and alga under State Act 188 of 1954.  This is the same Citizen Initiated Petition Special Assessment that has been used to establish the Sewer System in Hamburg Township and all of the Road Maintenance and Road Improvement Districts.

Currently, we are attempting to determine your interest in the continuation of this Special Assessment District (SAD) for the control of invasive weeds and alga. Please complete the form below to indicate your interest in continuing this program via a Hamburg Township administered SAD.
