Chief Richard Duffany was sworn in as the Chief of Police of the Hamburg Township Police Department on June 8, 2011.
Chief Duffany was born and raised in Dearborn Heights and is a graduate of Dearborn Divine Child High School.
He began his law enforcement career with the Dearborn Heights Police Department in 1989 and spent over 22 years with that department, rising to the rank of Captain, before retiring to take the Hamburg Township Police Chief position.
Chief Duffany has a Bachelor's Degree in Criminology from Eastern Michigan University and has a Juris Doctor degree from Wayne State University Law School.
He is also a graduate of Northwestern University's School of Police Staff and Command.

Deputy Chief Dariusz Nisenbaum was sworn in as the Deputy Chief of Police of the Hamburg Township Police Department on January 2, 2012.
Deputy Chief Nisenbaum began his career with the Livonia Police Department in 1986 as a police cadet before being promoted to the position of police officer in 1987. Nisenbaum held the supervisory ranks of Sergeant from 1997 - 2004 and Lieutenant from 2004 to 2012.
He holds a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from Madonna University and is agraduate of Northwestern University's School of Police Staff & Command.

Sergeant Anthony Wallace was sworn in as a police officer with the Hamburg Township Police Department on August 28, 2000 and was promoted to the supervisory rank of sergeant on January 3, 2013.
He is a graduate of the Mid-Michigan Police Academy in Lansing and holds a Bachelor's degree in Wildlife Biology from Michigan State University.
In addition to being a firearms and patrol rifle instructor, Sergeant Wallace is also a Field Training Officer, department armorer and DEA-certified in clandestine (methamphetamine) lab investigations.
Sergeant Wallace is a member of the Brighton-Hamburg Special Response Team and is currently assigned as the department's Traffic Safety Sergeant.

Sergeant Gary Harpe was sworn in as a police officer with the Hamburg Township Police Department on September 10, 1997 and was promoted to the supervisory rank of Sergeant in March of 2008.
Sergeant Harpe is a graduate of the Oakland Police Academy and has a Bachelor's degree in Criminology from Eastern Michigan University. He also is a graduate of Michigan State University's School of Police Staff & Command and Michigan State University's ommand Officer Development program.
Sergeant Harpe is in charge of department training. He also is the department's property officer and is certified as an evidence technician, Field Training Officer, salvage vehicle inspector, and TASER instructor.

Officer Matthew Duhaime was sworn in as a police officer with the Hamburg Township Police Department on March 8, 2010.
Officer Duhaime is a graduate of the Mid-Michigan Police Academy in Lansing and holds an Associate's degree in Criminal Justice from Lansing Community College.
Officer Duhaime is an instructor in GAGE (Ground Avoidance Ground Escape) and is the sniper on the Brighton-Hamburg Special Response Team.

Officer Taylor Scripps was sworn in as a police officer with the Hamburg Township Police Department on June 7, 2010.
Prior to joining the Hamburg Township Police Department, Officer Scripps spent 8 years as a police officer with the Northfield Township Police Department.
He is a graduate of the Grand Valley State University Police Academy and also holds a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from Grand Valley State University.
He is trained as a Field Training Officer, Evidence Technician and is a department property room officer.

Officer Adam Fischhaber was sworn in as a police officer with the Hamburg Township Police Department on August 1, 2010.
Officer Fischhaber graduated from the Lake Superior State University Police Academy in Sault Ste Marie and has a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from Lake Superior State University.
HAMBURG TOWNSHIP POLICE OFFICER RECOGNIZED BY MADD
WHMI 93.5 FM - 8/2/2012 - A Hamburg Township Police officer is being recognized for his efforts to combat drunk driving. In an online post, the department commended Hamburg Officer Adam Fischhaber who was recognized by Mothers Against Drunk Driving at the annual MADD-Michigan Lifesavers Award luncheon held yesterday in Troy.
Police officers from across the state attended the ceremony, where Officer Fischhaber was presented with a certificate of recognition on behalf of MADD. MADD officials say the event offers a meaningful way to recognize the courage and strength of officers who stand up every day to help make roads safer while working diligently in support of its campaign to eliminate drunk driving. Sergeant Alysha Garbacik was sworn in as a police officer with the Hamburg Township Police Department on August 28, 2000.
She is a graduate of the Mid-Michigan Police Academy in Lansing and holds an Associate's degree in Criminal Justice from Washtenaw Community College.
Sergeant Garbacik is an Evidence Technician, Field Training Officer, GAGE (Ground Avoidance Ground Escape) instructor and is a negotiator with the Brighton-Hamburg Special Response Team.
Sergeant Garbacik was promoted to the supervisory rank of sergeant on March 3, 2015 and is currently assigned as a road patrol supervisor.

Sergeant Megan Paul began her law enforcement career after graduating from the Washtenaw Community College Police Academy by working as a part-time officer for both the Howell Police Department and Pinckney Police Department.
Sergeant Paul was sworn in as a full-time police officer with the Hamburg Township Police Department on July 27, 1998 and was promoted to the supervisory rank of sergeant on September 17, 2013.
Sergeant Paul was born and raised in Hamburg Township and is a graduate of Pinckney High School. She holds two Associate's degrees from Washtenaw Community College, one degree in General Studies and a second degree in Criminal Justice-Law Enforcement.
Sergeant Paul is a trained School Liaison Officer and is currently assigned to Pathfinder Middle School.
She has been and is a Forensic Facial Imaging artist since 2001 and received FBI certification in 2005.
Sergeant Paul is currently assigned as a road patrol supervisor.

Officer Stephen Locke began his law enforcement career with the Hamburg Township Police Department as a part-time police officer before being sworn in as a full-time police officer on August 29, 2011.
Officer Locke is a graduate of the Oakland Police Academy and holds a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from Ferris State University.
Officer Locke is a member of the Brighton-Hamburg Special Response Team.

Officer Spencer Flavin was sworn in as a police officer with the Hamburg Township Police Department on October 2, 2012.
Officer Flavin is a graduate of the Washtenaw Police Academy and holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Grand Valley State University.
Officer Flavin served as a reserve police officer with the Village of Pinckney and a paid on-call firefighter with the Hamburg Township Fire Department prior to being hired by the Hamburg Township Police Department.
Officer Flavin is also a lifelong resident of Hamburg Township.

Officer Kimberly Leeds was sworn in as a part-time police officer with the Hamburg Township Police Department on May 28, 2013 and was promoted to a full-time officer on September 17, 2013.
Prior to joining the Hamburg Township Police Department, Officer Leeds had over four years of experience working as a part-time police officer with the Northfield Township Police Department and the Pinckney Police Department.
She is a graduate of Pinckney High School, has an Associate's degree in Criminal Justice from Oakland Community College and is a graduate of the Oakland Police Academy.

Officer Nate Watson was sworn in as a full-time police officer with the Hamburg Township Police Department on June 3, 2014. Prior to joining the Hamburg Township Police Department, Officer Watson had over four years of experience working as a police officer with the Village of Pinckney Police Department.
He has an Associate's degree in Criminal Justice from Washtenaw Community College and is a graduate of the Washtenaw Police Academy. Officer Watson is a lifelong resident of Livingston County.

Officer Dahne DeBottis was sworn in as a full-time police officer with the Hamburg Township Police Department on November 19, 2014. Prior to joining the Hamburg Township Police Department, Officer Debottis had worked as a police officer with the Huron Metro Parks Police Department.
He holds a Bachelor's degree from Saginaw Valley State University in Criminal Justice and is a graduate of the Delta College Police Academy.

Officer Sean Hogan was sworn in as a full-time police officer with the Hamburg Township Police Department on November 5, 2015. Prior to joining the Hamburg Township Police Department, Officer Hogan had worked as a police officer with the Roseville Police Department.
Officer Hogan is a graduate of the Macomb Police Academy and has an Associate's Degree in Criminal Justice from Macomb Community College.
